Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomeAt 8:30 PM, as the spring sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky over Lake Geneva in brilliant shades of rose, gold, and deep sapphire, the private terrace was illuminated by dozens of soft, twinkling fairy lights.

Owen ran up the stone steps, holding a slice of wedding cake, his face bright with a clear, radiant happiness.

"Dominic! Claire!" Owen cheered, pointing toward the lake. "The fireworks are starting!"

Dominic picked up the eight-year-old boy, placing him safely onto his shoulders, while sliding his other broad arm securely around my waist, pulling me flush against his side.

Across the dark, sparkling water, brilliant bursts of gold, green, and silver light exploded into the night sky, illuminating the smiling faces of our guests gathered on the lawn below.
