Chapter 3 - The Economic Execution(Target: 2,000 words - Focus: Preston systematic dismantles his family's corporate power; Victoria attempts to beg for mercy but is blocked.)

The next morning, the financial world of Dallas woke up to a catastrophic earthquake. At 8:00 AM sharp, my legal and financial teams executed a series of coordinated strikes against the Vance Group’s assets.

I sat in the glass-walled conference room of my private firm, Aegis Holdings. On the screen, the stock ticker for Vance Group was plummeting in a steep, red vertical line.

"Mr. Vance," my chief financial officer reported, "we have successfully pulled your 45% liquidity stake from their primary commercial banking line. Without your capital backing their credit, the banks have issued an immediate margin call against your mother and uncle."

"What about their real estate holdings?" I asked, staring coldly at the screen.

"The grand estate you left last night is legally under your name, sir. The corporate headquarters building is owned by your subsidiary. We have already served eviction notices to Victoria and Gabriela Vance. They have forty-eight hours to vacate the premises."

My phone began to ring incessantly. The caller ID showed Mother. Then Gabriela. Then Uncle Charles. I let them ring, the vibrations echoing against the mahogany table like a desperate heartbeat.

By noon, Victoria could no longer call me—I had blocked her number across all channels. Instead, she showed up at the lobby of Aegis Holdings, demanding to see me. Security refused her entry, but I allowed a closed-circuit video call to connect to the lobby monitor.

Victoria’s perfect hair was disheveled, her expensive makeup smeared with stress sweat as she screamed into the security camera. "Preston! Let me up this instant! The banks are freezing my personal accounts! The board of directors is threatening to remove me as CEO! You are ruining your own flesh and blood over that peasant girl!"

I pressed the talkback button. My voice was devoid of any familial warmth. "You called her a peasant, Mother, but she is the reason you had a throne. Every diamond you wear was bought with the profits of my labor. You used my love for you to torture the woman I love most. Now, you get to experience what it’s like to live without my protection."

"Preston, please!" she cried, her voice cracking as she realized her anger no longer had any power over me. "We can settle this! I will apologize to her! I will give her a share of the company!"

"An apology from a hypocrite is worth nothing," I replied. "Enjoy the next forty-eight hours, Victoria. Because after that, you won't even have a roof over your head."

I cut the feed.
