Chapter 7 - The Dawn of the ReignOne Year Later.

The bright summer sun beat down on the breathtaking coastal lawns of the Rossi Estate in Long Island.
The high-voltage security fences were still there, but the dark, oppressive cloud that had hung over the mansion for so long was completely gone. The gardens were filled with blooming white roses, vibrant green grass, and the joyful sound of laughter.
In the center of the lawn, a grand white pavilion was set up, decorated with silk ribbons, fresh lilies, and crystal chandeliers. Over two hundred guests—the refined, legal elite of New York, along with the restructured leaders of the Syndicate—sat in gold-trimmed chairs.
I stood before a grand floral arch, wearing a breathtaking, custom lace wedding gown that cascaded down to the grass in a sparkling train. My dark hair was styled in an elegant crown of pearls, and my eyes shone with a deep, radiant happiness.
Standing across from me in a pristine black tuxedo was Lorenzo.
He looked younger, regal, and fiercely handsome. The cold, tormented shadow that had once filled his grey eyes was replaced by an absolute, boundless devotion as he held both of my hands in his.
Standing beside us, dressed in a tiny matching tuxedo, was little Leo. He was fourteen months old, walking on chubby legs, laughing as he held a small velvet ring pillow.
"By the power vested in me," the federal judge declared, his voice echoing clearly through the summer air, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. Lorenzo, you may kiss your bride."
Lorenzo didn't hesitate. He pulled me into his arms, dipping me back slightly as he pressed his lips to mine in a long, passionate, breathtaking kiss that made the entire crowd erupt into deafening cheers and applause!
When he pulled me back up, he kept his arms securely wrapped around my waist, resting his forehead against mine.
"You saved my son, Hunter," Lorenzo whispered softly, his eyes sparkling with tears of absolute joy. "You saved my home. And you gave me a reason to live."
"You gave me a family, Lorenzo," I whispered back, leaning up to kiss his cheek. "You gave me a safe place to heal."
Suddenly, little Leo waddled over, tugging playfully at the hem of my white lace dress, holding up his tiny hands. "Mama! Mama!"
I laughed, tears of joy streaming down my face as I bent down and lifted our healthy, chubby son into my arms. Lorenzo wrapped his broad arm around us both, pulling his wife and son close against his pounding heart.

The maid who had walked into the dark nursery carrying a broken heart was gone forever.
In her place stood the protected queen of the Rossi empire—a woman who had turned grief into life, conquered the shadows of a mafia war, and built a reign of love that would last for generations to come.
