Chapter 4 - The Fraud UncoveredMargaret Tran thrashed wildly, pointing her trembling, jade-adorned hand at me. "THAT'S A LIE! She's lying, Hung! She's a broke orphan whose father owned a tiny fish shop! My son is the businessman!"

"My father's 'tiny fish shop' grew into a twenty-eight-million-dollar international conglomerate, Margaret," I answered with cold, absolute precision. "And your son isn't a businessman. He's a thief."
I pressed a second button on the remote control.
The television screen shifted, displaying three months of internal bank wire transfers, fake procurement contracts, and intercepted email logs.
The red numbers lit up the dark room:
TRANSFER #1: 1.2 Billion VND — Transferred from Ocean Crown procurement funds to Tran Logistics LLC (Signed by Daniel Tran).
TRANSFER #2: 2.8 Billion VND — Used to pay off the mortgage on Margaret Tran’s private villa in Vung Tau.
TRANSFER #3: 800 Million VND — Used to purchase Daniel’s luxury sports car and various diamond jewelry items for his mother.
"Two weeks ago," I explained into the silent room, "my chief compliance director uncovered suspicious fake invoices for non-existent shipping containers. Daniel was using his position as an external logistics consultant to forge my corporate signature and drain four point eight billion dong from my company's reserves."
Daniel’s knees buckled beneath his tailored trousers. He collapsed flat onto his knees right on the marble floorboards, his face pale as chalk, his hands shaking frantically as he looked at his thirty relatives staring at him in total disgust and horror.

"Emily... please!" Daniel wept, tears cutting clean tracks through his makeup. "I'm your husband! We're family! I was just setting up an investment for our future! I was going to pay it back!"
"You weren't setting up an investment, Daniel," I said, pulling my smartphone from my pocket. "You were buying diamonds for the woman who threw one million dong into my face three hours ago."
