Chapter 5 - The Corporate PurgeWithin forty-eight hours, the fallout from the courtroom revelation detonated across global financial markets like a nuclear warhead.

The news feeds burned with high-definition headlines:
VALE GLOBAL TAKEN OVER IN HISTORIC TRUST ENFORCEMENT
ADRIAN VALE STRIPPED OF EXECUTIVE AUTHORITY AFTER HIDDEN HEIR EXPOSED
EVELYN STERLING VANCE APPOINTED CHIEF MANAGING TRUSTEE OF $8 BILLION CONGLOMERATE
Inside the top-floor executive board room of Vale Global Tower on Michigan Avenue, fifty senior corporate directors, institutional investors, and department heads sat around a thirty-foot mahogany table.
Standing at the head of the table—wearing an exquisite midnight-blue tailored suit, her dark hair styled in an elegant knot, her posture royal, strong, and unbroken—was me.
Beside me stood Rebecca Hayes and my chief forensic auditor, Marcus.
Adrian sat at the far end of the table in a guest chair. He looked hollowed out from within—his suit rumpled, his dark hair disheveled, his eyes bloodshot, his hands trembling violently as he stared at the financial ledgers spread before him.
"Gentlemen," I announced cleanly into the quiet room. My voice possessed an absolute, velvet authority that held every billionaire and director spellbound. "As Chief Managing Trustee holding forty-five percent of the voting proxy, my first executive motion is the immediate, permanent removal of Adrian Vale as Chief Executive Officer."
"Seconded!" three major institutional fund managers called out instantly.
Adrian jumped out of his chair, his hands slamming flat onto the mahogany wood, his face flushed with desperate, unhinged rage. "YOU CAN'T FIRE ME! I'M A VALE! THIS COMPANY BEARS MY FAMILY NAME!"
"Your family name was built on my father's capital, Adrian," I replied deadpan. "And according to the forensic audit completed three hours ago, you embezzled twelve million dollars from the secondary logistics accounts over the last eighteen months to fund your private jet trips, Monaco villas, and gifts for your mistresses."
Adrian’s face went paper-white. His knees buckled, and he collapsed back into his chair, choking for air as if he had been struck in the chest.
"Special Agent Miller from the FBI Financial Crimes Division is waiting in the lobby, Adrian," I added softly, tapping the tablet screen. "Your executive severance is zero. Your corporate access is revoked."
Two uniformed federal officers stepped into the boardroom, locking heavy steel handcuffs around Adrian’s wrists behind his back.

"EVELYN! NO! PLEASE!" Adrian thrashed wildly, weeping in total, pathetic terror as he was dragged out through the double mahogany doors in front of his entire board of directors.
