Chapter 3 - The Assembly at the Grand BallroomAt 10:00 a.m. the following morning, the grand mahogany assembly hall atop the forty-story Manhattan Financial Center was packed to absolute capacity.

Over five hundred prominent defense magnates, private equity partners, municipal judges, and high-society figures gathered beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers for the annual Knox Dynamics Heritage Assembly.
Sitting at the head of the raised executive table, wearing a dark tailored suit, holding a gold fountain pen, was sixty-year-old Victor Vane. Beside him sat Sienna Vale, wearing a low-cut crimson designer dress, her diamond rings catching the light as she smirked over her glass, believing her Miami manipulation had secured her place at the top of the empire.
"Gentlemen!" Victor Vane announced smoothly into the central microphone, his voice dripping with condescending arrogance, "today we ratify the administrative takeover of Knox Dynamics due to Mr. Adrian Knox's severe personal governance failure—"
BOOM!
The heavy double oak doors of the executive assembly hall were thrown open with a violent, hydraulic impact!
The chatter of five hundred high-society guests vanished into an absolute, speech-bound silence.
Walking down the central red-carpeted aisle, flanked by Chief Security Director Marcus Vance and four armed federal marshals, was Donna Claire Bennett-Knox.
She wore a breathtaking floor-length dark emerald silk suit that celebrated her magnificent, graceful figure, her dark hair falling in glossy waves over her shoulders, her hazel eyes burning with absolute, sovereign victory and diamond-hard strength.
Around her neck hung the fifty-carat emerald signet pendant of the Knox Family Dynasty, her posture regal, her presence dominating the entire room.
And walking three paces behind her, wearing a dark bespoke charcoal suit, his broad frame squared, his face pale but resolute, acting not as a Don, but as her sovereign protector and humble defender, was Adrian Knox.
Sienna Vale dropped her champagne glass.
CRASH!
The heavy crystal glass shattered flat against the marble floor, splashing wine over her crimson dress as her face went from arrogant red to an ugly, paper-white shade of green. Victor Vane stood up so fast he knocked his leather chair backward against the wall.
"C-CLARA...?! ADRIAN?! SIENNA?!" Victor stammered, taking two panicked steps backward against the podium. "WHAT IS THIS ILL-MANNERED INTERRUPTING?! ADRIAN SIGNED THE MIAMI PAPERS!"
"Adrian signed nothing that overrides my father's legacy, Victor," Claire announced flatly, her clear, ringing voice carrying cleanly across the silent hall, dropping the room's temperature to zero. "And I am the sole Chairwoman of Knox Dynamics."
Bridget Colton stepped forward, sliding a thick stack of court-stamped legal notices flat into Victor Vane’s trembling hands:
TOTAL EQUITY SEIZURE: Certified federal enforcement of the Knox Trust Deeds, transferring 100% controlling equity directly to Chairwoman Claire Bennett-Knox and her infant heirs, Ethan and Eva Knox.
ARREST WARRANTS: International arrest warrants served on Victor Vane and Sienna Vale for Corporate Espionage, Extortion, Wire Fraud, and $11.8 Million Embezzlement.
IMMEDIATE EVICTION & ASSET FORECLOSURE: Execution of total asset freezes across all bank accounts, luxury vehicles, and real estate registered under Sienna Vale and Victor Vane’s shell companies—including the immediate repossession of the Biscayne Bay penthouse.
"THIS IS UNLAWFUL!" Sienna shrieked, thrashing wildly as two uniformed federal marshals stepped forward with heavy steel handcuffs. "ADRIAN, YOU LOVED ME! YOU BOUGHT ME THAT PENTHOUSE! YOU STAYED IN MIAMI FOR ME!"
Adrian stepped forward, his dark gray eyes locking onto Sienna with a cold, terrifying disgust that froze the blood in her veins.
"I didn't stay because I loved you, Sienna," Adrian corrected deadpan, his baritone an iron block. "I stayed because I was a fool. And today, my wife reclaims everything you tried to steal."
