Chapter 6 - The Fall of Victor Vance"You...!" Victor Vance stammered, his face turning an ugly, paper-white shade of shock as he stumbled up from his chair at the head table. "What the hell is the meaning of this intrusion, Moretti?!"

Dominic didn't draw a weapon. He walked slowly down the carpeted aisle, stopping beside my wheelchair right in front of the head table.

He pressed a button on an encrypted tablet resting on his arm, projecting high-definition digital documents onto the massive wall screens above the stage.

The red typography lit up the silent ballroom:

CERTIFIED GENETIC FORENSIC REPORT: Confirming 99.99% biological paternity match between Subject Lily Harper Vance and the late Arthur Vance.

FEDERAL RICO INDICTMENTS: Issued at 5:00 PM today by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York against Victor Vance.

ARSON & TRIPLE HOMICIDE CHARGES: Supported by wiretaps and forensic evidence proving Victor Vance ordered the fire at Arthur Vance's estate five years ago.

Victor Vance let out a guttural, frantic shriek, taking two fast steps backward as his hands shook in total, terrified panic. "IT'S A FORGERY! SHE'S A CRIPPLED NOBODY FROM AN ORPHANAGE! SHE HAS NO STANDING HERE!"

"She has every standing here, Victor," I spoke cleanly into the quiet room. My clear, six-year-old voice carried over the master speakers with an unshakeable, breathtaking clarity that made every director in the room freeze. "Because this company belonged to my father. And today... my daddy Dominic is taking it back."

BOOM!

The heavy side doors of the ballroom were thrown open as forty fully armed Federal Marshals and NYPD tactical officers swept into the hall, their weapons trained directly on Victor Vance and his lieutenants.

"DROP YOUR WEAPONS! FEDERAL AGENTS!" the lead marshal bellowed.

CLICK. CLICK.

Heavy steel handcuffs locked around Victor Vance’s wrists as he thrashed wildly, screaming curses, dragged away through the high brass doors in chains to face lifetime federal imprisonment without parole.

Dominic knelt beside my wheelchair right on the carpeted aisle, pulling me into a warm, fierce embrace as the entire ballroom erupted into thunderous, standing applause.

"You did it, my princess," Dominic whispered softly into my hair, his voice thick with deep, genuine pride. "You reclaimed your legacy."
