Chapter 6 - The Fall of the TraitorDon Vincent Valenti backed against the window, his hands raised in total, terrified surrender as Sophia trained her red laser sight squarely on his forehead.

"Mr. Bandi! Please!" Valenti wept frantically, sweat pouring down his face. "It was Marco's idea! He approached me three weeks ago! He offered fifty percent of your shipping terminals if my men executed the strike!"
I stepped forward, pulling an encrypted digital tablet from my tactical harness, projecting certified bank transfers and audio logs onto the suite's wide screen above the fireplace.
The red typography lit up the dark living room:
FEDERAL RICO INDICTMENTS: Prepared against the Valenti Syndicate for Attempted Murder, Extortion, and High Wire Fraud.
ASSET FREEZE DECREE: Executed across all commercial bank accounts registered under Marco Bandi and Valenti Logistics.
TERRITORY FORFEITURE: Transferring absolute, unencumbered control of all North Atlantic shipping docks directly to The Nicolo Bandi Corporate Trust.
Marco thrashed his head back, his eyes bulging out of his head as he stared at the glowing screen.
"You... you bugged my accounts?!" Marco choked out, weeping in total, sweat-slicked panic.
"I didn't bug your accounts, Marco," Sophia revealed flatly, every word cold as mountain ice. "I spent six months serving your brother cold espresso while my agency audited every single wire transfer you made to Grand Cayman."
BOOM!
The double doors opened once more as four uniformed Federal Marshals and NYPD tactical officers swept into the suite, holding official judicial warrants.
"Marco Bandi and Vincent Valenti," the lead marshal declared flatly. "You are under arrest for Attempted First-Degree Murder, Federal RICO Conspiracy, and Corporate Wire Fraud."
CLICK. CLICK.
Heavy steel handcuffs locked around Marco’s and Valenti’s wrists behind their backs.
Marco thrashed wildly as he was hoisted up by his lapels, reaching his chained hands toward Nicolo in a final, pathetic plea.
"NICOLO! PLEASE!" Marco wept, his voice cracking into raw, pathetic screams that echoed down the hallway. "FORGIVE ME! I WAS CRAZY! WE'RE BROTHERS! TELL THEM TO STOP!"
Nicolo looked down at the younger brother who had tried to have him slaughtered in a café.

"You asked me if I wanted another espresso, Marco," Nicolo spoke softly, his clear voice carrying an absolute, unbroken truth. "Now... you can ask the federal judge how many years you'll spend in a dark cell."
Marco and Valenti were dragged out through the shattered foyer in heavy chains, weeping hysterically as news cameras in the lobby documented their total, public downfall.
