“He thought a wedding ring could bury the bones of his victims. He thought a 10-carat diamond would make me forget the blood I washed from his marble floors. But as my $50,000 lace gown hit the cathedral floor, revealing the purple and yellow handprints etched into my skin, Adrian Blackwell realized his empire wasn't celebrating a marriage. It was attending an execution.”

The silence in the cathedral was suffocating, heavy with the scent of expensive lilies and rotting secrets. Adrian stood frozen, his hands half-raised as the cold steel of the handcuffs clicked around his wrists. The sound was surprisingly loud, echoing off the high stone arches like a gunshot.

"Get your hands off me!" Adrian roared, his polished, aristocratic facade cracking to reveal the monster underneath. "Do you know who I am? I am the Chief Executive of Blackwell Industries! This bitch is insane! She framed me!"

"Mr. Blackwell, you have the right to remain silent," Detective Miller replied, her voice devoid of emotion as she forced his arms behind his back. "Anything you say can and will be used against you."

In the front row, Vanessa—Adrian’s fiercely loyal personal assistant and secret accomplice—was struggling against two uniformed officers. Her elegant champagne-colored hat had fallen off, trampled under the polished shoes of fleeing guests.

"Let go of me! I didn't do anything!" Vanessa screamed, her eyes darting wildly toward me. "Victoria, tell them! Tell them I had nothing to do with your father's accident! Adrian forced me! He threatened me!"

I stood there, wrapped only in my ivory slip, looking down at them from the altar like an executioner watching the gallows. The bruises on my shoulders throbbed, a phantom ache from the months of torment, but for the first time in three years, I felt no fear.

"Save your breath, Vanessa," I said, my voice carrying clearly through the wireless microphone. "The encryption key on the memory card doesn't just contain Adrian's logs. It contains the audio files from the night my father’s car went over the cliff. It contains your voice, confirming the brake lines were cut."

Vanessa’s face drained of what little color it had left. She collapsed to her knees on the velvet carpet, weeping hysterically as she was dragged down the center aisle.

The four hundred guests—the elite of high society, politicians, billionaires, and journalists who had come to witness the 'wedding of the century'—were in a frenzy. Flashbulbs began to explode in the dim light. Flash, flash, flash. They weren't taking photos of a beautiful bride; they were capturing the historic collapse of the Blackwell dynasty.

My mother, Eleanor, finally broke through the crowd, her face pale, tears ruining her expensive makeup. "Victoria... oh my god, Victoria... why didn't you tell me? All this time... those long sleeves, the excuses about falling down the stairs..."

"Because, Mother," I said softly, stepping away from her reach, "you were too busy counting Adrian's dowry to notice the blood on my collars. You wanted this merger more than you wanted your daughter's safety."

She recoiled as if slapped, looking at the giant projection screen that still played the loop of Adrian violently shoving me against his office desk.

Adrian was being marched down the aisle, but before he reached the heavy oak doors, he twisted his head back, his eyes burning with a psychotic rage. "This isn't over, Victoria! My lawyers will have me out before midnight! And when I get out, I will finish what I started! You hear me? You're dead!"

"I died a long time ago, Adrian," I whispered into the microphone. "Today, I just came back to bury you."
