Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomeOn a warm, clear Saturday afternoon in late May 2026, the sweeping fifty-acre lawns of the Moretti estate were bathed in the brilliant golden glow of early summer.

The dark, oppressive shadow of betrayal, digital surveillance, and false weakness was permanently, historically erased from Dante’s life.

The grand marble courtyards were decorated with white roses, sunlit tables, and laughing guests celebrating the formal restructuring of Moretti Global Logistics into a fully transparent, legitimate international shipping conglomerate.

Over three hundred prominent business leaders, supreme court justices, allied syndicate heads, Dr. Marcus Vance, and close friends gathered around white-linen tables set up along the stone terrace, enjoying fine food and live acoustic music.

Dante Moretti stood near the marble balustrade wearing an immaculate tailored black tuxedo, his posture tall, broad, six-foot-tall, and sovereign. His dark hair was brushed back, his storm-gray eyes shining with absolute, unshakeable victory, inner peace, and sovereign grace.

Down on his right hand rested a simple, flawless signet ring—the original Moretti family crest.

Walking across the manicured green lawn, wearing a pretty blue summer dress and holding her battered velvet fox toy tightly under her arm, was five-year-old Sophie Miller. Beside her walked her mother, Anna, now the head administrator of the estate’s domestic operations, smiling brightly under the warm sun.

Sophie ran up the stone steps of the terrace, heading straight toward Dante.

Dante knelt down smoothly on one knee, opening his arms with a warm, genuine smile that had never once graced his face during the dark years of his captivity.

Sophie threw her small arms around his neck, burying her face in his shoulder.

“Are there any more bugs in your neck, mister?” Sophie whispered loudly into his ear, making nearby guests chuckle softly.

Dante laughed—a rich, deep, resonant sound that chased away the last lingering ghosts of his past. He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her dark curls.

“No, little one,” Dante answered softly, his voice thick with profound gratitude and eternal peace. “The house is completely clean.”

Sal Bruno raised his champagne glass from the primary table, his deep baritone carrying cleanly across the quiet grounds.

“To Don Dante Moretti!” Sal toasted with deep, genuine pride. “The sovereign leader who broke his chains, conquered the dark, and claimed his true home!”

“To Dante!” the entire terrace echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, dozens of crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.

Across the dark, sparkling blue waters of the Long Island Sound, the evening sun set beneath the horizon, painting the sky in sweeping tapestries of gold, rose, and deep sapphire.

There were no hidden microchips recording his thoughts. There were no false fiancées plotting in dark rooms. There were no tears, debts, or digital leashes keeping his mind from peace.

The broken, dependent captive was dead forever. The sovereign Don, protector, and king had claimed his true home.

And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, holding a little girl safe in his arms, watching the world bloom under the summer sun, Dante Moretti knew that his life, his heart, and his future were finally, beautifully, and forever home.
