Chapter 5 - The Fall of Julian SloaneJulian Sloane’s penthouse on the sixtieth floor of the Meridian Tower was bathed in champagne-soaked light, filled with sycophantic business associates and high-society socialites laughing loudly against a backdrop of thumping bass music.

Julian stood near the floor-to-ceiling windows, holding a crystal flute filled with Dom Pérignon, laughing heartily as he regaled a group of corporate executives with tall tales about his grand plans for restructuring Sloane Infrastructure.
— My brother Mason was always too sentimental, — Julian boasted loudly, swirling his champagne. — A company like ours requires ruthless efficiency, not charity projects for working-class neighborhoods. Effective tomorrow morning, the board will officially vote to transition leadership—
CRASH.
The massive double doors of the penthouse didn't just open; they were violently blown inward as four heavily armed security operatives in tactical gear swarmed the entryway, securing every exit in a matter of seconds.
The music cut off mid-beat. Gasps and screams echoed from the terrified guests as they scattered toward the corners of the room.
Julian’s glass slipped from his fingers, shattering against the imported Italian marble floor as golden champagne splashed across his expensive Italian leather shoes.
I stepped through the doorway, my footsteps echoing loudly in the sudden, terrified silence of the room. I walked straight toward him, my expression devoid of any human emotion.
— M-Mason? — Julian stammered, his face turning the color of chalk as he staggered backward until his back hit the glass window. — What... what is the meaning of this? Why do you have armed guards—?
I didn't answer with words. I simply raised my tablet, projecting the forensic financial audit records and the encrypted wire transfer logs onto the massive home-theater screen mounted on the wall behind him.
The entire room stared in horror as the proof of his conspiracy against me and Claire played out in crystal-clear detail.
— You wanted my company, Julian? — I asked softly, stopping just two feet away from him. — You wanted my life?
— Mason, wait! It’s a misunderstanding! Vanessa set me up! I swear— — Julian shrieked, falling to his knees as absolute panic consumed him.
— You tried to murder my wife while she was holding our newborn children, — I whispered, my voice carrying the weight of an executioner's blade. — There is no misunderstanding left to clear up.

Dominic stepped forward, signaling two tactical officers. Within seconds, cold steel handcuffs clicked tightly around Julian’s wrists as he was hauled up from the floor, screaming and thrashing like a cornered animal as he was dragged out of the penthouse in front of Atlanta’s elite society.
The guests fled the room in absolute terror, leaving me standing alone in the silent, ruined luxury of my brother's betrayal.
