Chapter 4 - The Fall of the ConspiratorsWhile Eleanor Bennett and Paige Bennett were being processed at the Pitkin County Facility without bail, private security teams executed simultaneous search warrants on Julian Cross and Brenda Mercer’s residences in Boston.

The high-end commercial Bakery Winter & Rye was officially handed over to Clara’s direct corporate management, while Brenda and Julian’s personal accounts were seized under federal civil asset forfeiture laws.
Inside Julian’s luxury Beacon Hill apartment, Julian stood frantic before open floor safes, trying to pack gold watches, designer leather goods, and stolen inventory cash into duffel bags.
BOOM!
The heavy double glass doors of the foyer were thrown open!
Deputy Marshal Hayes stepped inside, flanked by four armed Vance Security officers.
"Julian Cross!" Deputy Hayes declared coldly. "Drop the bags and step away from the safe!"
Julian spun around, his hands shaking furiously. "WHAT IS THIS?! I AM CHIEF AUDITOR FOR DISTRIBUTOR GLOBAL! YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS PROPERTY!"
"Mr. Julian Cross and Miss Brenda Mercer are currently in federal holding facing twenty years in a federal penitentiary without parole for Wire Fraud, Grand Larceny, and Framing an Innocent Employee," Deputy Hayes informed him deadpan. "And all property registered under your name has been repossessed by order of Chairwoman Clara Bennett."
The enforcement team executed the seizure warrants without hesitation:
THE ASSET SEIZURE: Repossession of all luxury vehicles, bank accounts, and stolen assets.
THE EVICTION: Formal twenty-four-hour eviction notice executed on his Beacon Hill apartment.

THE TERMINATION: Permanent revocation of his corporate auditing credentials across North America.
Julian collapsed flat onto the floor, weeping hysterical, pathetic tears as officers served him with civil seizure notices while news crews filmed his total, public disgrace.
