Chapter 3 - The Purge at the MetropolitanThe private VIP lounge of the Grand Metropolitan Club in downtown Manhattan was filled with the scent of expensive cigars, aged scotch, and refined laughter.

Thirty-four-year-old Julian Ferraro sat at the center of a velvet circular booth, wearing an immaculate double-breasted suit, holding a crystal glass of bourbon as he toasted four commercial real estate developers.
"By next month, the foreclosure on the St. Bridget’s property will be complete," Julian boasted, a smooth, arrogant smirk touching his lips. "We clear the site, tear down the old wards, and break ground on the casino complex by spring. Luca won't even notice—he's too busy managing the shipping lines to care about a rundown clinic."
BOOM!
The reinforced oak double doors of the private lounge were blown wide open with a violent, hydraulic impact!
The chatter in the room died instantly. Glasses shattered against the floor as high-society developers scrambled backward in terror.
Walking through the heavy smoke, flanked by twelve armed Vance Security officers, was Luca Ferraro.
He wore a dark wool overcoat over his suit, his tall, imposing six-foot-four frame radiating a lethal, untouchable authority that dropped the room's temperature to freezing.
Julian dropped his bourbon glass. The crystal smashed flat against the marble floorboards, liquor splashing over his designer shoes.
"L-Luca...?" Julian stammered, his face draining of every drop of color as he scrambled out of the booth. "What... what are you doing here?! The dock inspection in Brooklyn—"
"There was no emergency at the docks, Julian," Luca stated flatly, stepping forward until he stood two feet from his cousin. "There was only a snake in my house."
Julian took a panicked step backward, waving his hands nervously. "Luca, listen to me! It was a business decision! The land under St. Bridget's is worth eighty million dollars! Your wife was throwing away money on a lost cause! I was protecting the family's balance sheet!"
BANG!
Luca didn't raise his voice. He drew his pistol in a fraction of a second, firing a single round flat through the mahogany table between them, shattering the wood into splinters.
Julian shrieked, collapsing onto his knees on the marble floorboards, clutching his head in total, pathetic terror.
"You intercepted my wife's mail, Julian," Luca whispered, leaning down until his shadow completely covered his cousin. "You stranded her in freezing rain on her birthday. And you tried to destroy a hospital that carries her name."
Marcus Vance stepped forward, holding a thick leather folder bound by red seals:
LEASE ACQUISITION: Complete buy-out of the land beneath St. Bridget’s Hospital by The Nora Ferraro Heritage Trust, making the hospital legally untouchable for one hundred years.
CORPORATE EXCLUSION: Immediate, absolute stripping of Julian Ferraro’s executive voting rights, equity shares, and family security clearance.
CRIMINAL INDICTMENT: Formal delivery of forensic financial evidence to federal prosecutors detailing Julian’s illegal land-bribes and wire fraud.
Two uniformed federal marshals stepped out from behind Marcus, holding heavy steel handcuffs.

"Julian Ferraro," Lead Marshal Miller declared coldly. "You are under arrest."
Julian wept hysterical, groveling pleas as marshals dragged him out of the Grand Metropolitan Club in total, public disgrace, surrounded by news cameras capturing his downfall for the morning news.
