Chapter 4 - The Fall of the Dudley DynastyMarcus stepped forward, placing a sleek leather briefcase on the table, opening it to reveal an encrypted tablet connected to a live banking portal.

"Lewis Dudley," Marcus announced smoothly, his voice devoid of any emotion. "At 4:15 AM, the State Attorney's Office of Southern Florida received a forty-page criminal indictment charging you, your mother Victoria Dudley, and six identified accomplices with Aggravated Battery, Kidnapping, Extortion, and Witness Tampering."

Lewis laughed nervously, though sweat was suddenly beading along his hairline. "That's ridiculous! My uncle is a circuit judge! That indictment will be thrown out before breakfast!"

"Your uncle was suspended by the Judicial Qualifications Commission twenty minutes ago, Lewis," Robert corrected flatly. "And as for your father's port logistics company..."

Robert tapped the tablet screen, projecting a massive financial ledger onto the wall monitor.

The red numbers illuminated the room:

FORECLOSED COMMERCIAL CREDIT LINES: $14.2 MILLION — Seized by Vance Capital Operations at 4:30 AM.

TERMINATED LEASE CONTRACTS: PORT OF MIAMI TERMINAL 4 — Effective immediately under corporate default clauses.

IMMEDIATE DISBARMENT PROCEEDINGS — Filed against Lewis Dudley with the Florida State Bar for felony extortion.

Victoria dropped her espresso cup. The china shattered against the marble floorboards, black coffee splashing across her plush white robe. CRASH.

She jumped out of her chair, her face contorted in wild, desperate terror as she grabbed Robert’s suit jacket lapels. "No! You can't do this! That company is our entire family's legacy! We built that for thirty years!"

Robert didn't push her away. He stood like an iron statue, looking down into her pale, trembling face with a look of profound, chilling disdain.

"You built an empire on arrogance, Victoria," Robert whispered softly into her face. "And tonight... you laid your hands on my daughter."

He gently, firmly unclasped her fingers from his suit, stepping back two paces.

The double mahogany doors of the executive lounge were thrown open again.

Four uniformed Miami-Dade Police officers, accompanied by two lead detectives from the Special Victims Unit, stepped into the room holding heavy steel handcuffs.

"Victoria Dudley and Lewis Dudley," Detective Vance announced cleanly. "You are under arrest for Aggravated Felony Battery, Kidnapping, and Extortion."

CLICK. CLICK.

The iron bands locked tightly around Lewis’s manicured wrists first. He didn't speak; he let out a pathetic, high-pitched whimper as his hands were forced behind his back.

CLICK. CLICK.

A second set of cuffs locked around Victoria’s wrists over her plush hotel robe.

Victoria raised her head, her wild, bloodshot eyes locking onto me as she was forced toward the door. "Sarah! Please! Tell him to stop! We can settle this! We can return the wedding gifts! We'll stay away from Chloe!"

I walked up to her, stopping two inches from her pale, ruined face, looking into her eyes with zero fear, zero hesitation, and absolute, unshakeable victory.

"You told my daughter that a stubborn bride has to be taught her place as early as possible, Victoria," I whispered cleanly into the quiet air. "Tonight... the Vance family taught you yours."
