Chapter 5 - The Fall of Vincenzo MorettiBy 4:00 AM, the breach at the Vale Estate was completely neutralized.

The forty Moretti mercenaries who had attempted to storm the grounds were completely eliminated or captured by Dominic’s elite security forces.
However, Dominic wasn't finished.
Leaving Marco to secure the mansion, Dominic personally led a six-vehicle tactical convoy straight into downtown Philadelphia, heading directly for the headquarters of Moretti Logistics on the waterfront.
I insisted on staying in the armored command vehicle behind him, refusing to let him leave my sight after the night's horrors.
Inside the top-floor executive penthouse of the Moretti Tower, sixty-year-old Vincenzo Moretti sat behind his mahogany desk, surrounded by four remaining bodyguards, frantically counting stacks of bearer bonds as he prepared to flee the country.
BOOM!
The reinforced steel double doors of the penthouse didn't just open—they were blown off their hinges by a hydraulic breaching charge, sending splinters and white smoke showering over the velvet furniture.
Dominic Vale walked through the smoke like a dark god of vengeance, flanked by twelve heavily armed operators.
Vincenzo Moretti jumped up from his desk, dropping his glass of scotch, his face turning an ugly, paper-white shade of green.
"Dominic...!" Moretti stammered, his voice cracking into a high, pathetic squeak. "Listen to me! It was just business! We can share the shipping docks!"
Dominic walked slowly across the carpet. He didn't rush. He stopped two feet from the desk, looking down at the man who had tried to kidnap me.
"You sent mercenaries to my home, Vincenzo," Dominic spoke softly, every word dropped into the silent room like a heavy block of ice. "You threatened the only woman who ever brought peace to my life."
"Dominic! Please!" Moretti wept, falling flat onto his knees right on the floorboards before Dominic's boots, clutching his hands together in a frantic, groveling plea. "I'll give you my entire territory! I'll leave Pennsylvania forever! Just spare my life!"
Dominic pulled an encrypted tablet from his coat, tossing it flat onto the desk.
"Your accounts are frozen, Vincenzo," Dominic revealed deadpan. "Your ships are seized by federal marshals, and your lieutenants have already surrendered."
He raised his custom pistol, aligning the sight squarely with Moretti’s forehead.
"No... please...!" Moretti shrieked, closing his eyes in total terror.
THWIP.

A single suppressed shot echoed through the penthouse.
Vincenzo Moretti collapsed flat onto the carpet floorboards, his predatory reign over the eastern seaboard officially, permanently ended.
