Chapter 6 - THE REBIRTH OF SABRINAOne year later.

The grand ballroom of the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver was bathed in golden chandelier light.
Over four hundred distinguished guests—business leaders, state officials, philanthropists, and lifelong friends—gathered to celebrate the grand opening of The Sabrina Rollins Foundation for Women’s Health and Legal Protection.
The foundation, funded by a twenty-million-dollar grant from Rollins Global, was dedicated to providing free legal representation, medical care, and corporate protection for women who had suffered financial abuse, domestic betrayal, or medical negligence.
I stood near the grand stage, wearing a stunning floor-length midnight-blue silk gown that showcased my healthy, glowing silhouette.
Beside me stood Julian Mercer—a brilliant, kind-hearted civil rights attorney who had joined our foundation’s executive board eight months ago. Julian was tall, with warm hazel eyes, a quick wit, and a gentle respect for me that had slowly, beautifully restored my faith in love.
"You look breathtaking tonight, Sabrina," Julian whispered softly, offering me a glass of sparkling cider.
"Thank you, Julian," I smiled, looking into his eyes—eyes that held zero deceit, zero greed, only pure, quiet admiration.
Justin walked over, holding a glass of champagne, looking handsomer and happier than I had seen him in years. He had recently started dating a sweet pediatric architect named Clara, and his life was once again filled with laughter and light.
"Chairwoman," Justin toasted softly, clinking his glass against mine. "To the strongest woman I know."
"To family," I smiled, wrapping my arm around my brother's waist.
My father stood at the center podium, tapping his glass with a silver spoon, bringing the humming ballroom to a respectful silence.
"Ladies and gentlemen," my father announced, his voice booming with emotion. "Thirty-five years ago, I founded Rollins Global with a simple dream: to build something lasting for my children. But two years ago, our family faced a storm that threatened to tear everything apart."
He looked toward me, his eyes overflowing with love.
"In our darkest hour, my daughter, Sabrina, did not fall," my father declared proudly. "She stood up. She reclaimed her strength, she protected our legacy, and tonight, she is building a sanctuary so that no woman ever has to fight alone."
The entire ballroom erupted into a standing ovation.

Julian took my hand gently, supporting me as I walked up the velvet steps toward the stage.
I stood at the podium, looking out at the smiling faces, feeling the warm, steady pulse of life humming through my veins.
