Chapter 4 - The Fall of the ConspiratorsWhile Julian Reynolds and Sophia Reynolds were being processed at the federal precinct without bail, private security teams executed simultaneous search warrants on Sophia’s luxury penthouse in River North, Chicago.

The high-end residence—purchased using embezzled Moretti trust capital—was repossessed under federal civil asset forfeiture laws.

Inside the grand master bedroom, Sophia’s socialite mother, Victoria Reynolds, stood frantic before open floor safes, trying to pack gold jewelry, designer handbags, and offshore bearer bonds into leather duffel bags.

BOOM!

The heavy double glass doors of the foyer were thrown open!

Deputy Marshal Hayes stepped inside, flanked by four armed Vance Security officers.

"Victoria Reynolds!" Deputy Hayes declared coldly. "Drop the bags and step away from the safe!"

Victoria spun around, her manicured fingers shaking furiously. "WHAT IS THIS?! MY DAUGHTER IS FIANCÉE TO ALEXANDER MORETTI! YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS PROPERTY!"

"Miss Sophia Reynolds and Mr. Julian Reynolds are currently in federal holding facing thirty years in a federal penitentiary without parole for Extortion and Wire Fraud, Mrs. Reynolds," Deputy Hayes informed her deadpan. "And all property registered under your family's shell companies has been repossessed by order of Chairwoman Claire Bennett-Moretti."

The enforcement team executed the seizure warrants without hesitation:

THE ASSET SEIZURE: Repossession of all luxury vehicles, jewelry collections, and bank accounts.

THE EVICTION: Formal twenty-four-hour eviction notice executed on her River North penthouse.

THE TERMINATION: Permanent revocation of her high-society credentials and corporate access.

Victoria collapsed flat onto the marble floor, weeping hysterical, pathetic tears as officers served her with civil seizure notices while news crews filmed her total, public disgrace.
