Chapter 6 - The Festival of the Golden SapphireIn late September 2026, ten months after that miraculous day on Route 41, the grand auditorium of the Plaza Hotel in Nashville was packed to absolute capacity for the inaugural Mason, Bryce & Hazel Sullivan Heritage Gala.

Over five hundred prominent business leaders, supreme court justices, federal prosecutors, and high-society matriarchs gathered beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers.

Standing at the main presentation podium, wearing a dark bespoke charcoal tuxedo, my broad six-foot-four frame squared, my handsome face glowing with deep, quiet pride, holding ten-month-old Mason, Bryce, and little Hazel near my sides, was me.

Beside me stood Donna Megan Bennett-Sullivan, looking breathtaking in a floor-length dark emerald silk evening gown, her hazel eyes glowing with complete happiness.

Around Megan’s neck hung my late grandmother’s restored fifty-carat sapphire signet pendant.

I adjusted the microphone, my deep, resonant baritone echoing cleanly through the high-fidelity speakers:

"Ten months ago, I was a blind, arrogant fool who threw my innocent wife into the rain, until I saw her walking along a dusty highway carrying aluminum cans to save our sick daughter," I announced to the silent room, my gray eyes shining with genuine, unshakeable emotion as I looked down at Megan and our triplets. "And on that afternoon, a brave mother who endured thirteen months of hell shattered a dark conspiracy, claimed her sovereign birthright, and brought my entire world back to the light."

I held my champagne glass high under the glittering lights.

"To my Chairwoman, my savior, and my brilliant triplets: Megan, Mason, Bryce, and Hazel Sullivan!"

"To Megan, Mason, Bryce, and Hazel!" the entire room erupted into a warm, unanimous standing ovation, five hundred crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.
