Chapter 7 - The Sovereign Bloom and the Safe HavenOne year after the nightmare in the garden, the backyard of the cottage I now shared with Elena in the peaceful coastal hills of Northern California looked entirely transformed.

I stood on the sunlit wooden porch of the cottage, wearing a light linen dress and breathing in the crisp, salt-kissed ocean breeze that rolled in from the Pacific horizon. Elena stepped out onto the veranda carrying two steaming mugs of herbal tea, handing me one with a warm, proud smile that mirrored the deep healing we had achieved together. "You built something truly magnificent here," she murmured softly, looking out over the flourishing garden. I took a slow, grounding sip of my tea, watching a pair of hummingbirds dance gracefully among the hydrangeas. "The darkness can try to bury you," I replied, my voice steady, clear, and filled with sovereign peace, "but if you have roots strong enough to hold onto the earth, you don't suffocate in the dirt—you learn how to bloom through it."
