Chapter 6 - The Final EvictionBack in Boulder, Audrey stood on the sunlit front porch of Redwood Crest for the final time.

She wasn't alone. Paige stood beside her, holding baby Maya, while Natalie oversaw the removal of Audrey’s personal heirlooms, sentimental photo albums, and nursery items that had been packed before Garret’s foolish stunt.

A sleek black sedan pulled up the driveway. Out stepped Garret’s frantic sister, who had apparently received word from her mother and rushed over, expecting to secure her usual weekend guest spot.

She slammed her car door, marching up the steps with an expression of absolute outrage. "Audrey! What on earth is going on? Why are strangers carrying boxes out of the front hall? And why won't my security app let me connect to the Wi-Fi?"

Audrey turned slowly, adjusting Maya against her shoulder. The exhaustion of the past three days was gone, replaced by a radiant, unshakeable calm.

"Because you're trespassing," Audrey said smoothly.

"Trespassing? In our house?" Garret’s sister shrieked, her voice cracking. "Mom and Garret are going to have you arrested for this! You can't just throw us out!"

"Check your messages," Natalie chimed in, holding up her tablet with a bright, professional smile. "The deed was recorded at noon. Redwood Crest belongs to Jonathan Vance. You have twenty minutes to collect your designer handbags from the guest suite before the locks change permanently."

The sister's jaw dropped. Before she could scream another protest, a pair of private property managers stepped forward, firmly guiding her off the porch.
