Chapter 6 - The Restoration of Claire BennettThe morning after the penthouse breach, the entertainment world experienced a seismic shift.
At 10:00 AM, a joint press conference was convened at the grand ballroom of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. Over two hundred news outlets, entertainment reporters, and studio executives packed the room.
I stood at the podium wearing an exquisite navy silk dress, my dark hair styled in glossy waves, my posture tall, radiant, and sovereign. Beside me stood Adrian Blackwood, wearing an immaculate black suit, his hand resting gently against the small of my back, offering unyielding, fierce protection.
Standing on a small step stool beside us was five-year-old Noah, wearing a tailored mini-tuxedo, looking out at the flashing cameras with calm, amused confidence.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the press," Adrian announced into the microphones, his deep baritone commanding absolute silence across the room. "Six years ago, malicious false narratives destroyed the career of one of America's finest actresses, Claire Bennett."
He clicked a control remote, projecting full forensic audits and signed confessions onto the grand screen behind us—proving that Vanessa Cole and corrupt media outlets had fabricated the scandals that had ruined my reputation.
"Today," Adrian continued, his gray eyes locking onto mine with deep, public reverence, "all legal blacklists against Miss Bennett are permanently dissolved. My firm, Blackwood Global Media, has established a one-hundred-million-dollar production fund managed solely by Claire Bennett."
He looked at the crowd, his voice ringing with absolute, sovereign authority.
"And effective immediately, Claire Bennett and our son, Noah Blackwood, are the sole inheritors of the Blackwood estate."
Applause erupted across the ballroom like a thunderclap.

Reporters scrambled to take photos as Adrian turned to me, taking my hand in his, pressing a tender, lingering kiss against my knuckles.
For the first time in six years, the quiet, hidden mother was gone. The sovereign queen of Manhattan had reclaimed her throne.
