Chapter 5 - The Insolvency of Victor Collins"Mave...?!" Chloe stammered, taking two fast, clumsy steps backward, her eyes bulging out of her head as she looked at her sister standing beside the most feared Don in New York. "What... what the hell are you wearing?! How are you still alive?!"

Mave didn't answer her sister. She walked cleanly down the carpeted aisle beside Declan, stopping ten feet from the front altar.
Declan raised an encrypted digital tablet, pressing the central button, projecting high-definition legal documents and bank ledgers onto the massive wall screens above the altar.
The red typography lit up the silent ballroom:
REVOCATION OF COMMERCIAL DEEDS: Executed at 8:00 PM today by the New York State Supreme Court (Property ID #9942-NY).
TRANSFER OF PORT EQUITY: Reverting one hundred percent of primary docking equity directly to Mave Vance Collins.
FEDERAL RICO INDICTMENTS: Issued against Victor Collins & Gideon Blake for High Fraud, Forgery, and Illegal Asset Stripping.
Victor Collins let out a guttural, frantic shriek, stumbling against the podium. "IT'S A LIE! SHE'S MY DAUGHTER! SHE HAS NO LEGAL RIGHT TO REVOKE THOSE DEEDS!"
"I have every right, Father," Mave spoke cleanly into the quiet ballroom. Her deep voice carried an unyielding, velvet power that echoed off the high ceiling. "Because Mom left those docks to me. And for fifteen years... you used my mother's memory to fund your greed."
Gideon Blake pulled a sidearm from his tuxedo coat with a frantic, suicidal rage. "I'LL KILL YOU BOTH!"
THWIP!
Before Gideon’s finger could touch the trigger, a suppressed round fired by Finn from the secondary balcony punched cleanly through Gideon's right shoulder, knocking him flat onto the marble floorboards.
"ARGH!" Gideon groaned in agony, clutching his bloody arm.
BOOM!
The heavy side doors of the ballroom were thrown open as forty fully armed Federal Marshals and NYPD tactical officers swept into the hall, their weapons trained directly on Victor Collins and Gideon Blake.
"DROP YOUR WEAPONS! FEDERAL AGENTS!" the lead marshal bellowed.

CLICK. CLICK.
Heavy steel handcuffs locked around Victor Collins’s wrists as he thrashed wildly, weeping in total, groveling defeat, dragged away through the high brass doors in chains alongside Gideon Blake to face lifetime federal imprisonment without parole.
