Chapter 6: The Siege of the Rossi Estate and the Final Stand

Through the billowing smoke, the first wave of Corsican mercenaries poured into the grand foyer, clad in black tactical gear and night-vision goggles, firing blindly into the dark corners of the room. "Now! Fire!" I roared into my comms headset. From the upper balconies, a devastating wall of crossfire erupted from my enforcers, cutting down the front line of mercenaries before they even realized they had walked into a slaughterhouse. Bodies hit the polished marble floor with heavy thuds, their weapons clattering away. But the enemy commander—Viktor Vance himself—pushed through the smoke behind his men, holding a high-caliber rifle and screaming curses in French and Italian. "Dante Rossi! Come out and face your executioner!" Viktor yelled, firing a burst of bullets that shattered the crystal chandelier above my head, raining sparkling glass down around my shoulders.
I stepped out from behind a marble pillar into the center of the foyer, raising my weapon with absolute, unflinching precision. "Looking for me, bastard?" I called out. Viktor spun around, his eyes locking onto mine with feral hatred as he raised his rifle to aim straight at my chest. But before his finger could squeeze the trigger, a sharp, deafening crack echoed from the upper balcony—Salvatore’s sniper rifle barked once. The bullet struck Viktor squarely in his right shoulder, spinning him around and knocking his weapon flying across the marble floor. Before he could recover, I closed the distance between us in three long strides, kicking his legs out from under him and slamming him face-first onto the floor. I planted the heel of my Italian leather shoe firmly between his shoulder blades, pressing the barrel of my gun against the back of his neck. "Tell your bosses in Europe that the Rossi family is untouchable," I whispered into his ear, my voice dripping with absolute lethal finality. Viktor choked out a pathetic gasp of surrender, nodding frantically against the stone. Within minutes, the remaining mercenaries threw down their weapons and begged for their lives as my enforcers swarmed the foyer, zip-tying them in neat rows just like my mother’s traitors months before. The siege of the Rossi estate was over, and our bloodline stood victorious.
