Chapter 6 - The Birth of Victoria BennettIn late December 2026, on a snow-dusted Christmas Eve in Chicago, the high-risk maternity wing at Northwestern Memorial Hospital was bathed in the warm, golden glow of holiday lights.

At 4:12 AM, after a smooth, healthy delivery supported by the nation's top obstetricians, my daughter entered the world.

She weighed seven pounds, eight ounces, with a head of soft dark hair, rosy cheeks, and big, expressive hazel eyes that looked up at me with instant, radiant recognition.

I held her against my bare chest, wrapping her in a warm cashmere blanket, tears of pure, weightless joy streaming down my face.

I named her Victoria Bennett—a name representing victory, strength, and an unbroken legacy.

Arthur Vance walked into the private suite holding a massive bouquet of white orchids and a gold-bound leather folder.

"She is beautiful, Cassidy," Arthur murmured softly, his eyes shining with deep paternal pride.

"She is my entire world, Arthur," I answered, gently kissing Victoria’s soft forehead.

Arthur set the gold binder flat on the bedside table. "The final corporate restructuring papers for Bennett Global are complete. The employee pension fund has been fully restored, the former Morrison properties have been converted into community housing trusts, and Victoria’s irrevocable master trust holding forty percent of Bennett Capital is officially active."

I looked out the window at the snow falling softly over Lake Michigan, painting the city in pristine, unbroken white.

The quiet, suffering wife was dead forever. The sovereign Chairwoman, mother, and queen had claimed her true home.
