Chapter 3 - The Purge of the Grand CouncilAt 10:00 AM the following morning, the grand mahogany assembly hall atop the forty-story Rossi Tower on Michigan Avenue was packed to absolute capacity.

Over fifty senior syndicate capos, maritime logistics directors, high-society attorneys, and corporate shareholders sat around the massive forty-foot carved walnut table beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers.
Sitting at the head of the table, wearing an elegant dark velvet dress, holding a gold pen, was sixty-two-year-old Eleanor Rossi. Beside her sat her corrupt ally, Victor Moretti, smirking as they prepared to sign the corporate merger papers that would absorb the Rossi docks into Moretti Global.
"Gentlemen," Eleanor announced smoothly into the central microphone, her voice dripping with aristocratic deceit, "today we ratify the corporate transfer of Julian’s voting proxies to Moretti Global due to my son’s tragic, permanent retirement from executive duties—"
BOOM!
The heavy double oak doors of the executive boardroom were thrown open with a violent, hydraulic impact!
The chatter of fifty corporate executives vanished into an absolute, speech-bound silence.
Walking down the central red-carpeted aisle, flanked by Chief Security Director Marcus Vance and four armed federal marshals, was me.
I wore a magnificent charcoal bespoke suit, my broad six-foot-four frame squared, radiating an untouchable, sovereign authority that dropped the room's temperature to absolute zero.
And walking right beside me, wearing a breathtaking floor-length dark navy silk gown that celebrated her restored, graceful figure, holding our newborn baby boy Leo securely against her chest, was Donna Grace Rossi.
Grace wore her dark hair in glossy waves over her shoulders, her hazel eyes burning with absolute, unshakeable victory, inner peace, and sovereign strength.
Eleanor Rossi dropped her gold pen.
CRASH!
The heavy metal clattered flat against the mahogany table, rolling onto the floor as her face went from arrogant red to an ugly, paper-white shade of green.
Victor Moretti stood up so fast he knocked over his leather chair. "J-JULIAN...?! GRACE?!" Eleanor stammered, taking two panicked steps backward against the table. "WHAT IS THIS ILL-MANNERED INTERRUPTING?! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE IN EUROPE!"
"You should have built a deeper basement, Eleanor," I announced flatly, my deep baritone carrying cleanly across the silent hall, dropping the room's temperature to zero.
I walked steadily past the gaping executives, stopping at the head of the table. I pulled out the heavy leather executive chair, turning to face Grace and Leo.
"Sit, Grace," I said gently, my gray eyes softening with immense respect as I pulled out the chair for my wife.
Grace sat down smoothly, holding our baby boy on her lap, while I stood beside her chair like an unshakeable, towering fortress.
Bridget Colton stepped forward, sliding a thick stack of court-stamped legal notices flat into Victor Moretti’s trembling hands:
SOVEREIGN PROXY RATIFICATION: Certified proof of birth and genetic verification confirming Leo Julian Rossi as sole fifty-one percent common equity holder under the guardianship of Julian and Grace Rossi.
ARREST WARRANTS: Federal warrants served on Eleanor Rossi, Victor Moretti, and Dr. Adrian Vale for Attempted First-Degree Murder, Kidnapping, Child Trafficking, and $30 Million Wire Fraud.
IMMEDIATE TERMINATION: Permanent revocation of all board titles and operational credentials held by Eleanor Rossi.
"Eleanor Rossi, Victor Moretti," Lead Federal Marshal Miller declared coldly, stepping forward with heavy steel handcuffs. "You are under arrest."
