Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomeEleanor Voss raised her champagne glass from the primary table, her clear, regal baritone carrying cleanly across the quiet grounds.

"To Don Adrian and Donna Sophie Voss!" Eleanor toasted with deep, genuine pride. "The sovereign family who broke the dark, conquered the storm, and claimed their true home!"

"To Adrian and Sophie!" the entire terrace echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, dozens of crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.

Across the dark, sparkling blue waters of Lake Michigan, the evening sun set beneath the horizon, painting the sky in sweeping tapestries of gold, rose, and deep sapphire.

There were no arrogant managers yelling at waiters in dark restaurants. There were no fake promises or cold nights keeping their hearts from peace. There were no fears, debts, or dark shadows separating their lives.

The quiet, struggling waitress was dead forever. The sovereign Donna, Chairwoman, and queen had claimed her true home.

And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, wrapped safe in the arms of the man who loved her, watching her mother and Eleanor smile under the spring sun, Sophie Voss knew that her life, her heart, and her family were finally, beautifully, and forever home.
