Chapter 6 - The Council of SovereignsIn late June 2026, The Clara Bennett Foundation hosted its inaugural global summit on the grand terrace of our estate.

The hundred-million-dollar foundation—funded by the liquidated assets of Vance Logistics—was established to provide free emergency medical treatment, high-level digital security, and top-tier legal defense for domestic violence survivors across North America.

Dr. Alexander Reed officially stepped into the role of Chief Medical Officer for the foundation's network of safe-house clinics, while Bridget Colton managed the legal advocacy teams.

As the sun began to set over the ocean, Alexander walked up behind me near the balustrade, wrapping his broad, warm arm around my waist, pulling my back flush against his solid frame.

He leaned down, pressing a sweet, lingering kiss against my temple.

"What are you thinking about, my queen?" Alexander whispered softly into my ear.

I rested my right hand—now fully healed, strong, and wearing the Bennett signet ring—over his hand, leaning my head comfortably back against his chest.

"I was thinking about a cold radiograph, Alexander," I answered softly, a radiant, beautiful smile lighting up my face. "And how a doctor's courage helped me claim my freedom."

Alexander offered a soft, breathtaking smile—a look of pure, eternal love that lit up his handsome features.

"You saved yourself, Clara," Alexander promised, pulling me closer under the spring sun. "And I will spend the rest of my life protecting your peace."
