Chapter 6 - The Summit at Harrell TowersBy noon, a high-stakes emergency meeting had been convened at the gleaming glass headquarters of Harrell Holdings in downtown Manhattan.

I sat in the executive boardroom beside my father, wearing a sharp navy blue tailored pantsuit—no jeweled gowns, no delicate lace, just pure, unadulterated confidence. Across the massive mahogany table sat Marcus Vance and his weeping, panicked wife, Victoria.

Marcus looked twenty years older than he had twenty-four hours ago. The ruthless corporate raider was currently sweating through his custom Italian suit, realizing that his entire multi-generational empire was dangling by a thread over an abyss of my father's making.

"Marcus," my father said smoothly, leaning back in his leather chair and lacing his fingers together. "I believe you requested this audience. I trust you brought your checkbook."

Marcus swallowed hard, clearing his throat. "Raymond... let's be reasonable. We are talking about decades of family partnership. Families have disagreements, young people make mistakes—"

"Let's be very clear, Marcus," my father interrupted, his voice dropping into a tone so cold it made the air in the room drop ten degrees. "Your son didn't have a 'disagreement' with my daughter. He attempted to intimidate, control, and emotionally trap her on her wedding night, documenting it with the intent to gaslight her. You are lucky I am letting him keep his freedom instead of pressing criminal charges."

Victoria burst into tears, dabbing her eyes with a designer handkerchief. "Please, Audrey... have mercy. Dominic is ruined. Our company is failing. Take whatever settlement you want, just call off your father's corporate lawyers."

I leaned forward, resting my elbows on the polished wood, looking directly into the eyes of the woman who had spent months plotting my subjugation.

"I don't want your money, Victoria," I said quietly. "I already have my own life, my own career, and my own freedom. What I want is complete and absolute severance."

"Name your terms," Marcus muttered desperately.

"Term one: The annulment is finalized today, with zero counterclaims, zero non-disclosure agreements restricting my story, and zero future contact from either Dominic or Victoria," I stated clearly.

"Agreed," Marcus said instantly.

"Term two: Harrell Holdings absorbs the entirety of Vance Enterprises' disputed shipping lanes at a fifty percent valuation discount, effective immediately," I continued, glancing at my father, who offered a proud, approving smirk.

Marcus closed his eyes, a look of profound defeat washing over him. He knew he had no leverage. He was signing away half his empire just to save the other half from total destruction.

"Agreed," Marcus whispered.
