"You've outdone yourself this year, Spencer," a senior board member flattered, raising his glass. "Conway Enterprises has never looked stronger."

Spencer offered a polished, confident smile, tightening his grip around Paisley’s waist. "Strength requires precision, Arthur. You cut away the dead weight, and everything else thrives."

Across the room, Paisley basked in the validation, her eyes gleaming with malice as she recalled the text she had sent to Phoebe earlier. She truly believed she had won. But neither she nor Spencer knew that the foundation of their entire world was about to shatter.

Three years of his daughter hiding away in a loveless marriage, lowering herself to please a man who didn't deserve her shadow.

"Mr. Harrell," his chief legal counsel said quietly, handing him a thick leather-bound folder. "The emergency acquisition protocols for Conway Enterprises are in place. Every debt they owe, every liquidity line they depend on, is backed by Harrell Holdings. We can dismantle them before midnight."

Raymond took the folder, his voice a low, steady rumble that brooked no argument. "Leave nothing standing. Let my son-in-law learn what it truly means to be a beggar."
