Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomeOn a clear, warm Saturday afternoon in late October 2026, the sweeping oceanfront gardens of the Kane Estate in East Hampton were decorated with blooming white orchids, yellow sunflowers, and sunlit tables for Adrian's and my official wedding celebration and Mia's seventh birthday.

The dark, predatory shadow of forged death certificates, hiding in Queens, and quiet tears in the dark was permanently, historically erased from our lives.

Over three hundred prominent community leaders, supreme court justices, Marcus Vance, Bridget Colton, and close operational brothers gathered around white-linen tables set up along the stone patio, enjoying fine food, vintage wine, and live acoustic music.

I stood near the grand marble balustrade wearing a breathtaking floor-length ivory silk wedding gown that caught the soft autumn breeze. My dark hair fell in glossy waves over my shoulders, my green eyes shining with absolute, unshakeable victory, inner peace, and sovereign grace.

Down on my right hand rested the ten-carat emerald signet ring—the official Seal of the Kane Family Matriarch.

Seven-year-old Mia ran across the manicured green lawn in her clean white shoes, giggling happily as she flew a giant dragon kite with Marcus Vance, her bright, beautiful laughter echoing across the Atlantic Ocean.

Adrian Kane walked out onto the stone terrace wearing an immaculate dark tuxedo, holding two glasses of sunlit cider, stepping up beside me near the balustrade.

He wrapped his broad, warm arm around my waist, pulling me flush against his solid six-foot-three frame, leaning down to press a sweet, lingering kiss against my temple.

"What are you thinking about, my queen?" Adrian whispered softly into my ear, his deep baritone thick with emotion.

I looked out over the vast, sparkling blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean stretching before us into the unbroken horizon, leaning my head comfortably back against his broad chest.

"I was thinking about a little girl asking for a daddy nine months ago, Adrian," I answered softly, a radiant, beautiful smile lighting up my face. "And how that moment brought your heart and ours straight to our true home."

Adrian offered a soft, breathtaking smile—a look of pure, eternal devotion that lit up his severe features.

"You saved my soul, Emily," Adrian promised, pulling me and little Mia—who had run up to hug our legs holding Gerald—into his broad, protective embrace under the autumn sun. "And I will spend the rest of my life protecting yours."

Marcus Vance raised his champagne glass from the primary table, his clear, strong baritone carrying cleanly across the quiet grounds.

"To Don Adrian, Donna Emily, and Princess Mia Kane!" Marcus toasted with deep, genuine pride. "The sovereign family who broke the dark, conquered the storm, and claimed their true home!"

"To the Kane family!" the entire terrace echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, dozens of crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.

Across the dark, sparkling blue waters of the ocean, the evening sun set beneath the horizon, painting the sky in sweeping tapestries of gold, rose, and deep sapphire.

There were no arrogant brothers, fake death certificates, or cold tears keeping their hearts from peace. There were no fears, debts, or shadows separating their lives.

The quiet, struggling single mother was dead forever. The sovereign Donna, Chairwoman, and queen had claimed her true home.

And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, wrapped safe in the arms of the man who loved her, watching her brilliant little daughter bloom under the autumn sun, Emily Parker-Kane knew that her life, her heart, and her family were finally, beautifully, and forever home.
