Chapter 6 - The Festival of the Silver WolfIn late September 2026, nine months after that fateful morning, the grand ballroom of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan was packed to absolute capacity for the inaugural Mia Kane Heritage & Youth Gala.

Over five hundred prominent business leaders, supreme court justices, federal prosecutors, and high-society matriarchs gathered beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers.
Standing at the main presentation podium, wearing a breathtaking floor-length dark emerald silk evening gown that celebrated my tall, radiant figure, was me.
Around my neck hung the restored silver wolf pendant, my dark hair falling in glossy waves over my shoulders, my green eyes burning with absolute, unshakeable victory, inner peace, and sovereign grace.
Beside the stage stood seven-year-old Mia, looking like an angel in an ivory lace dress, proudly holding Gerald the elephant, alongside Bridget Colton and Marcus Vance.
And standing on my right, wearing an magnificent charcoal bespoke tuxedo, his broad six-foot-three frame squared, his handsome face glowing with deep, quiet pride, was Adrian Kane.
Adrian stepped up to the microphone beside me, wrapping his broad, warm arm securely around my waist, his deep baritone echoing cleanly through the high-fidelity speakers:
"Nine months ago, a brave six-year-old girl walked into my VIP lounge, looked me in the eye, and asked me to be her daddy," Adrian announced to the silent ballroom, his gray-blue eyes shining with genuine, unshakeable devotion as he looked down at me and Mia. "And on that morning, she shattered a seven-year lie, gave me back my heart, and brought my entire world back to the light."
Adrian held his champagne glass high under the glittering lights.
