Chapter 3 - The Unmasking at the Maritime AssemblyAt 10:00 AM the following morning, the fifty-story executive boardroom of Moretti Maritime Global overlooking the Boston Inner Harbor was packed to absolute capacity.

Over forty corporate investors, port directors, and syndicate capos sat around the forty-foot mahogany table beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers.

Sitting at the head of the table, wearing a dark suit, holding a gold-headed cane, was sixty-five-year-old Victor Moretti—Dante’s arrogant, greedy uncle. Beside him sat his corrupt lawyer, Richard Sterling, and his snobbish daughter, Brielle, who was admiring her diamond rings.

"Gentlemen," Victor announced smugly, adjusting his silk tie. "Today, we finalize the full corporate absorption of the South Boston Commercial Docks into my private holding company—"

BOOM!

The heavy double oak doors of the boardroom were thrown open with a violent, hydraulic impact!

Walking down the central carpeted aisle, flanked by Marcus Vance and six armed security officers, was Dante Moretti.

He wore an magnificent charcoal bespoke tuxedo, his tall six-foot-three frame radiating an untouchable, sovereign authority that dropped the room's temperature to absolute zero.

And walking right beside Dante, wearing a breathtaking floor-length dark navy silk gown that celebrated my radiant, natural beauty, holding the original 1998 Maritime Title Deeds openly against my chest, was me.

Beside me walked my father, Thomas Bennett, standing tall and proud in a sharp new suit.

Victor dropped his pen. His face went from arrogant red to an ugly, paper-white shade of green.

"T-Thomas...?! DANTE?! WHAT IS THIS?!" Victor stammered, taking two frantic steps backward, his gold cane clattering against the floorboards. "THAT MAN IS A THIEF! HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD IN MONTREAL!"

"The only thief in this room is you, Uncle," Dante announced flatly, his deep baritone carrying cleanly across the silent boardroom. "And your twenty-three-year performance is over."

Bridget Colton stepped forward, sliding thick legal notices flat into Victor’s trembling hands:

IMMEDIATE CORPORATE EVICTION: Absolute revocation of all executive voting rights held by Victor Moretti over the South Boston Docks.

ASSET FORECLOSURE: Freezing of all bank accounts registered under Victor and Brielle Moretti due to $140 million in embezzled trust capital.

CRIMINAL ARREST WARRANTS: Federal warrants served on Victor Moretti for First-Degree Premeditated Murder, Arson, and Wire Fraud.

Victor fell flat onto his knees behind the table, groveling frantically as federal marshals stepped forward with heavy steel handcuffs.

"DANTE! PLEASE!" Victor shrieked, reaching his hands out toward his nephew. "I DID IT FOR THE FAMILY! YOUR FATHER WAS WEAK!"

"My father was an honorable man," Dante sneered flatly, looking down at his uncle with an absolute, weightless disgust. "And you are a parasite who will rot in a federal cell for the rest of your life."

Brielle thrashed and wept hysterical, pathetic tears as marshals served her with immediate civil asset seizure notices, evicting her from her luxury estate on the spot while news cameras captured their total, public disgrace for the afternoon news.
