Chapter 5 - The War at Pier 92The peace in the Westchester estate was shattered forty-eight hours later by an urgent report from Enzo.

Victor Costa—realizing that Dominic had married Thomas Vance's daughter and consolidated total control over the Rossi Council—had launched a desperate, suicidal assault against our secondary shipping terminals at Pier 92 in Brooklyn.

"He brought forty armed mercenaries, Boss!" Enzo reported sharply inside the command center. "They've surrounded the primary logistics warehouse! They're threatening to blow the fuel tanks if you don't surrender the Vance files!"

Dominic stood up from the mahogany table, adjusting his tactical holster, his storm-gray eyes flashing with a dark, apocalyptic fire. "Prepare four tactical units, Enzo. Tonight... Victor Costa dies."

"Wait," a clear, steady voice echoed from the doorway.

I stepped into the command center wearing a dark wool coat, my spine straight, my posture royal, my hazel eyes holding zero fear. On my right hand, the heavy gold band shone brightly under the lights.

Dominic froze, stepping toward me with deep concern. "Sienna, go back upstairs. This isn't safe for you."

"I am Donna Sienna Rossi," I spoke, my deep baritone carrying an absolute, unyielding authority that made every lieutenant in the room drop their gaze in respect. "My father bled on those docks for your family, and I took seven bullets for your mother. I am not hiding in a bedroom while you finish this war."

Dominic looked at me—at my unshakeable courage, my royal dignity, my absolute devotion—and a rare, breathtaking smile lit up his severe, carved face.

He walked over, cupping my jaw with his broad hand, pressing his lips softly, fiercely against mine in a deep, unhurried kiss.

"Stand beside me, my queen," Dominic promised softly. "And watch how we take our city back."
