Chapter 7: The Sovereign Sunrise and the Ultimate Victory

A soft, familiar knock echoed at my office door, and before I could answer, Nico walked inside holding two steaming cups of artisan espresso. He wore a crisp charcoal suit with his sleeves rolled up slightly, looking more relaxed and vibrant than I had ever seen him. He stopped beside my desk, placed one cup down on the marble coaster, and leaned down to press a warm, lingering kiss to the top of my head before gazing out at the golden horizon with me. "You know, looking at you right now, sitting in that chair and owning this entire floor," Nico murmured softly with a proud, affectionate smile, "I still remember the fire in your eyes outside the ballroom doors three months ago. You didn't just survive your heartbreak, Luna. You conquered it."

I smiled warmly, taking a slow, grounding sip of my espresso as the morning light danced across the sparkling glass towers below. I had walked in on my ex-boyfriend in bed with my own sister, thinking my world was ending in a puddle of betrayal and humiliation. But instead of letting them destroy me, I had weaponized my pain, stepped onto the grandest stage in the city, and rewritten the entire script of my destiny with the help of the one man they never could have anticipated standing beside me. Looking out at the endless morning sky, I knew with absolute certainty that the heartbreak in that apartment wasn't the end of my story—it was simply the brutal, necessary spark that forged my true, unbreakable, and sovereign happily-ever-after.
