Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomeOn a clear, warm Saturday afternoon in late October 2026, the sweeping oceanfront gardens of our Buckhead estate were decorated with blooming white orchids, yellow sunflowers, and sunlit tables for Colton's and my official private vow renewal ceremony.

The dark, predatory shadow of one-way tickets, secret mistresses, and silent postpartum tears was permanently, historically erased from our lives.

Over three hundred prominent community leaders, supreme court justices, Bridget Colton, Marcus Vance, Priya, and close friends gathered around white-linen tables set up along the stone patio, enjoying fine food, vintage wine, and live acoustic music.

I stood near the grand marble balustrade wearing a breathtaking floor-length ivory silk wedding dress that caught the soft autumn breeze. My dark hair fell in glossy waves over my shoulders, my hazel eyes shining with absolute, unshakeable victory, inner peace, and sovereign grace.

Down on my right hand rested the ten-carat emerald signet ring—the official Seal of the Beckett Family Matriarch.

Nine-month-old Ren crawled happily across a soft velvet blanket on the manicured green lawn, giggling as she reached for the stuffed rabbit Colton had bought her months ago, her bright laughter echoing across the estate.

Colton Beckett walked out onto the stone terrace wearing an immaculate dark tuxedo, holding two glasses of sunlit cider, stepping up beside me near the balustrade.

He wrapped his broad, warm arm around my waist, pulling me flush against his solid six-foot-three frame, leaning down to press a sweet, lingering kiss against my temple.

"What are you thinking about, my queen?" Colton whispered softly into my ear, his deep baritone thick with emotion.

I looked out over the sunlit gardens stretching before us into the unbroken horizon, leaning my head comfortably back against his broad chest.

"I was thinking about a one-way ticket to Lisbon, Colton," I answered softly, a radiant, beautiful smile lighting up my face. "And how walking away brought us straight to our true home."

Colton offered a soft, breathtaking smile—a look of pure, eternal devotion that lit up his severe features.

"You saved my soul, Lauren," Colton promised, pulling me and little Ren—whom he picked up from the lawn—into his broad, protective embrace under the autumn sun. "And I will spend the rest of my life protecting yours."

Marcus Vance raised his champagne glass from the primary table, his clear, strong baritone carrying cleanly across the quiet grounds.

"To Don Colton, Donna Lauren, and Little Princess Ren Beckett!" Marcus toasted with deep, genuine pride. "The sovereign family who broke the dark, conquered the storm, and claimed their true home!"

"To the Beckett family!" the entire terrace echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, dozens of crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.

Across the dark, sparkling blue skies of Georgia, the evening sun set beneath the horizon, painting the sky in sweeping tapestries of gold, rose, and deep sapphire.

There were no arrogant businessmen, secret traps, or cold nights keeping their hearts from peace. There were no fears, debts, or shadows separating their lives.

The quiet, suffering postpartum wife was dead forever. The sovereign Donna, Chairwoman, and queen had claimed her true home.

And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, wrapped safe in the arms of the man who loved her, watching her baby daughter bloom under the autumn sun, Lauren Beckett knew that her life, her heart, and her family were finally, beautifully, and forever home.
