Chapter 6 - The Festival of Light in AtlantaIn late September 2026, nine months after Ren's birth, the grand ballroom of the St. Regis Atlanta was packed to absolute capacity for the inaugural Ren Beckett Pediatric & Maternal Civic Gala.

Over five hundred prominent business leaders, supreme court justices, federal prosecutors, and high-society matriarchs gathered beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers.
Standing at the main presentation podium, wearing a breathtaking floor-length dark emerald silk evening gown that celebrated my tall, radiant figure, was me.
Around my neck hung a delicate diamond signet pendant, my dark hair falling in glossy waves over my shoulders, my hazel eyes burning with absolute, unshakeable victory, inner peace, and sovereign grace.
Beside the stage stood Priya, Bridget Colton, and Marcus Vance.
I adjusted the microphone, my clear, velvet baritone echoing cleanly through the high-fidelity speakers:
"Nine months ago, I walked out of my home holding a seventeen-day-old baby and a single suitcase, believing my life was shattered," I announced to the silent ballroom, my voice filled with deep, genuine pride. "And on that night, I learned that true strength isn't sitting in silence while men fight wars... it is standing tall, taking the wheel, and demanding absolute truth."
I held my champagne glass high under the glittering lights.
"To truth, clean beginnings, and unbroken family!"

"To Lauren!" the entire room erupted into a warm, unanimous standing ovation, five hundred crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.
Standing at the side of the stage, wearing a dark bespoke tuxedo, holding nine-month-old Ren securely in his broad arms, was Colton. He clapped passionately, his gray eyes shining with tears of absolute reverence as he looked at the queen of his life.
