Chapter 6 - The Return to the RinkIn late September 2026, five months after the gala, the grand arena of the newly constructed David & Emily Carter Ice Center was packed to absolute capacity for its inaugural National Skating Exhibition.

Over five thousand spectators, international judges, news networks, and young athletes gathered beneath sweeping arches of polished glass and chrome.
Standing at the center of the ice rink under blinding white spotlights, wearing an magnificent ivory silk skating dress adorned with thousands of sparkling diamonds, was me.
Beside the ice barrier, wearing a sharp dark tuxedo, holding a bouquet of white roses, stood Vincent Blackwood. His broad six-foot-three frame was squared, his severe, handsome face glowing with an intense, unshakeable pride.
The orchestra began to play a sweeping, triumphant waltz.
I glided forward across the pristine ice. One turn. Two.
Then, with absolute power, speed, and breathtaking grace, I launched into a flawless triple axel, soaring through the air before landing with razor-sharp perfection on the back outside edge!
The entire five-thousand-seat arena erupted into a deafening, standing ovation! The crowd cheered, chanting my name: "EMILY! EMILY! EMILY!"
I glided toward the barrier, stopping smoothly right before Vincent. He reached over the glass, pulling me into his broad, warm arms, kissing my lips passionately while five thousand people cheered under the bright lights.

"You never lost it, my Queen," Vincent whispered against my lips, his blue eyes shining with absolute love.
"I didn't lose it, Vincent," I smiled, holding his handsome face in my hands. "I just waited for you to bring me home."
