Chapter 4 - The Fall of the ConspiratorsWhile Vanessa Moretti and Richard Sterling were being processed at the federal precinct without bail, private security teams executed simultaneous search warrants on Vanessa’s luxury gold-leaf penthouse in downtown Chicago—the very penthouse where I had spent thirty-four shameful nights.

The high-end residence—purchased using embezzled Carter trust capital—was repossessed under federal civil asset forfeiture laws.
Inside the grand master bedroom, Vanessa’s socialite mother, Evelyn Moretti, stood frantic before open floor safes, trying to pack gold jewelry, designer handbags, and bearer bonds into leather duffel bags.
BOOM!
The heavy double glass doors of the foyer were thrown open!
Deputy Marshal Hayes stepped inside, flanked by four armed Vance Security officers.
"Evelyn Moretti!" Deputy Hayes declared coldly. "Drop the bags and step away from the safe!"
Evelyn spun around, her manicured fingers shaking furiously. "WHAT IS THIS?! MY DAUGHTER IS PATRIARCHAL PARTNER TO MICHAEL CARTER! YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS PROPERTY!"
"Miss Vanessa Moretti and Mr. Richard Sterling are currently in federal holding facing thirty years to life in a federal penitentiary without parole, Mrs. Moretti," Deputy Hayes informed her deadpan. "And all property registered under your family's shell companies has been repossessed by order of Chairwoman Emily Carter."
The enforcement team executed the seizure warrants without hesitation:
THE ASSET SEIZURE: Repossession of all luxury vehicles, jewelry collections, and bank accounts.
THE EVICTION: Formal twenty-four-hour eviction notice executed on her gold-leaf penthouse.

THE TERMINATION: Permanent revocation of her high-society credentials and corporate access.
Evelyn collapsed flat onto the marble floor, weeping hysterical, pathetic tears as officers served her with civil seizure notices while news crews filmed her total, public disgrace.
