Chapter 7 - Dawn Over the Charles RiverThree months later, the private conservatory overlooking the Charles River was no longer a cage of obligation and power politics.

String lights twinkled beneath the glass roof, casting a warm, golden glow across a small, intimate gathering of close friends, loyal allies, and four very excited little boys wearing miniature velvet bowties.
There were no press cameras. No corporate dynasties bargaining for real estate. No threats from the underworld.
Dominic stood near the center of the conservatory, wearing a simple navy suit—the same color as his sons’ sweaters—waiting beneath a canopy of white roses.
The heavy glass doors at the end of the hall opened.
Clara walked down the aisle. She was wearing a breathtaking, flowing gown of ivory lace, her dark hair falling in soft waves over her shoulders. But it was her smile—radiant, unburdened, and completely alive—that made Dominic’s breath catch in his throat, exactly as it had the first time he ever saw her.
Julian, Noah, Leo, and Lucas acted as the ring bearers, proudly carrying a small velvet pillow between them, walking with that exact same stubborn, determined little crease between their eyebrows.
When Clara reached the altar, Dominic took her hands in his. They were warm, steady, and real.
“I thought I lost you forever,” Dominic whispered, his voice thick with emotion as he looked into her eyes.
“You never really lost me,” Clara smiled, squeezing his fingers tightly. “We just took the long way around.”
The officiant—a trusted family judge who had helped Dominic dismantle the corrupt remnants of his uncle’s syndicate—smiled warmly and motioned for the rings.
Julian proudly stepped forward, holding out a platinum band that fit snugly onto Clara’s finger, followed by Dominic sliding a matching ring onto his own hand.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife,” the judge declared with a warm smile. “Dominic, you may kiss your bride.”
Dominic pulled Clara into his arms, pressing his lips to hers in a deep, passionate kiss that sealed not just a marriage, but a family redeemed from the ashes of the past.
From the front row, the four boys cheered loudly, clapping their hands together, completely stealing the show.

As the applause rippled through the small gathering, Dominic looked out through the glass roof toward the sparkling waters of the Charles River. The empire he commanded was stronger than ever, but as he felt Clara lean her head against his shoulder and watched his sons laughing near the fountain, he knew the greatest victory of his life wasn't the power he held.
It was the love that had finally found its way home.
