Chapter 3 - The Midnight Transformation of the Hudson EstateWhen Alexander’s Ferrari tore up the long, winding gravel driveway of the Hudson estate just past midnight, the house looked nothing like the quiet, gloomy tomb he had left behind hours earlier.

Bright, pulsing strobe lights flashed through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows of the grand living room. Deep, throbbing bass lines shook the heavy oak doors, and the sweet scent of expensive champagne and heavy perfume drifted out into the sleety night air.
Alexander leaped out of his car, not even bothering to lock the door, and threw his weight against the front entrance. It was unlocked.
He stormed into the foyer, and his brain simply stopped working.
The sprawling living room was packed. Thirty-seven professional male dancers, clad in elaborate, high-fashion stage costumes ranging from modern royalty to Venetian masquerade, were moving rhythmically to a custom DJ set pulsing from the state-of-the-art sound system he had installed for parties he never threw.
Waiters in crisp black vests were circulating with silver trays filled with Dom Pérignon. High-end catering stations had replaced his formal dining setup, and guests—local socialites, fashion models, and friends of Erin whom Alexander had never even met—were laughing, dancing, and drinking his rarest vintage reserves.
And right in the center of it all, sitting on the velvet velvet armchair like a queen presiding over her court, was Erin.
She wore a backless crimson dress that clung to her silhouette, her hair swept up in an elegant chignon, her lips curved into a dazzling, untouchable smile.
Alexander stood frozen in the doorway, staring in absolute horror.
"Turn that music off!" Alexander roared, his voice cracking over the bass.
Nobody moved. The music kept pumping.
Erin slowly raised her champagne glass, took a delicate sip, and gestured to the DJ to lower the volume by half. The heavy bass subsided into a low, thumping hum.
She turned her gaze toward Alexander, her eyes gleaming with sharp, icy amusement.
"Welcome home, darling," Erin called out, her voice carrying effortlessly across the room. "Did you enjoy your dinner with Sophia?"
Alexander marched through the crowd, shoving past a dancer dressed in a gilded mask, his face purple with rage. He stopped right in front of Erin, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white.
"Have you completely lost your mind?" Alexander hissed, his voice trembling with fury. "You spent four hundred thousand dollars in twenty minutes! The bank called me! They locked all my corporate lines!"
Erin didn't flinch. She slowly crossed her legs, setting her champagne flute down on the glass side table.
"You told me to buy anything I wanted," Erin replied, her tone dripping with sweet sarcasm. "You said there was no limit. And honestly, Alexander, a woman cannot live on neglect alone. I figured if you were investing in your past with Sophia, I should invest in my future with... well, thirty-seven very attentive gentlemen."
The crowd around them let out a collective, delighted gasp, followed by muffled chuckles.
Alexander’s face twisted in sheer humiliation. He reached into his pocket instinctively, pulling out his phone. "I am calling the police. I am having every single one of these people arrested for trespassing and grand theft!"
"Go ahead," Erin said smoothly, standing up from her chair. She towered over him with an aura of absolute authority he had never seen in her before. "Call the police. Tell them your wife legally used the unlimited black card you handed her to throw a party in the house that she owns."
Alexander stopped dead. "What did you say?"
"You heard me," Erin said, stepping closer. "You think because your name is on the mailbox that you own this estate? Let me remind you of something, Alexander. Five years before you built your hedge fund, my family’s trust purchased the land beneath this house. When we married, I signed a prenuptial agreement that you drafted—but you were too arrogant to read the addendum regarding real estate assets held in trust."
May you like
She tapped her fingernail against his chest.
"This house, every stock option you hold, and every single dollar in your primary hedge fund account are tied to a family trust where I hold ninety percent voting control. You didn't give me a black card of your wealth, Alexander. You handed the master keys of your entire financial kingdom to the person who legally owns it."
