Inside the thirty-fifth-floor penthouse in River Forest, Sienna stood frantically packing designer leather bags, her face pale, sweating under her heavy makeup.
The front doors of the penthouse were thrown wide open.
Bridget Colton stepped inside, flanked by two armed federal marshals and four private movers from Vance Security.
"Sienna," Bridget announced, her clear voice ringing through the quiet marble foyer. "As of seven o'clock this morning, this property has been formally seized under Federal Asset Forfeiture Injunctions."
Sienna thrashed her hands, shrieking hysterically. "THIS IS MY HOUSE! DEREK BOUGHT IT FOR ME! I HAVE THE DEED!"
"Derek bought it using embezzled charitable funds stolen from pediatric cancer research, Miss Sienna," Bridget corrected coldly, dropping a stack of legal eviction notices onto the marble counter. "Your deed is void. Furthermore, federal indictments have been served against you for Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud and Receiving Stolen Property."
Two uniformed marshals stepped forward, holding heavy steel handcuffs.

The cold steel cuffs locked tightly around Sienna’s wrists behind her back. She thrashed and wept pathetic pleas as marshals dragged her out of the River North penthouse in total, public disgrace, surrounded by news cameras waiting in the lobby below.
Every piece of designer clothing, every piece of jewelry, and every vehicle purchased with stolen capital was repossessed and auctioned, with all proceeds transferred directly into Grace’s educational foundation.
