Chapter 6 - The Debut at the GalaSix months after the extraction, the grand ballroom of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan was packed to absolute capacity for the annual New York Civic & Healthcare Gala.

Over five hundred prominent business leaders, supreme court justices, foreign diplomats, and high-society figures filled the room beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers.

Standing near the main presentation podium, wearing an immaculate black tuxedo, was Salvatore Lombardi. His broad shoulders were squared, his severe, carved-marble face radiating an unshakeable, sovereign authority.

Beside him stood Marcus Vance and my lead clinic staff, all wearing formal evening attire.

Salvatore adjusted his microphone, his storm-gray eyes sweeping across the quiet room before settling on where I stood near the stage.

His deep, resonant voice carried cleanly through the high-fidelity speakers:

"Eight years ago, I believed that power was built through fear and isolation," Salvatore announced with deep, genuine pride. "And then I met a brilliant young woman who showed me that true strength belongs to healing, courage, and unbroken truth."

He held his champagne glass high under the glittering lights.

"To Dr. Russo!" the entire room echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, five hundred crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.
