Chapter 5 - The Transformation of Lena RussoFollowing Carmine’s conviction and the total purge of corrupt elements within Lombardi Enterprises, my life transformed completely.
I didn't abandon my dental practice.
With Salvatore’s backing:
THE RUSSO DENTAL CENTER: My father’s small practice was expanded into a state-of-the-art, multi-story community health center in Bellhaven, providing free dental care, emergency surgery, and specialized pediatric treatment for thousands of working-class families across New York.
THE LOMBARDI HEALTH FOUNDATION: We established a fifty-million-dollar philanthropic endowment dedicated to funding medical research for chronic facial nerve trauma and providing legal protection for healthcare workers.
CORPORATE CLEANSE: Lombardi Enterprises transitioned into a fully legitimate, top-tier international shipping and real estate conglomerate, permanently dissolving its underground enforcement networks.
My physical and emotional transformation under Salvatore’s unbroken, fiercely protective devotion was complete.

I no longer worried about overdue rent or unpaid bills. I wore tailored silk suits, managed our global foundation, and spent my evenings at the Lake Forest estate, walking through the gardens with Salvatore under the stars.
My hazel eyes shone with absolute victory, my dark hair fell in glossy, healthy waves, and surrounded by real love, my heart claimed its true home.
