Chapter 7 - The Unbroken HomeOne year after the flight on Seat 3B, the grand oceanfront terrace was decorated with hundreds of soft, twinkling fairy lights for a warm, clear autumn evening.

A small, private wedding gathering of fifty close friends, security staff, and trusted associates sat in elegant white wooden chairs set up along the stone patio overlooking the dark, peaceful Atlantic Ocean.

I stood near a white floral arch wearing an immaculate black tuxedo, my dark hair neatly styled, my heart hammering against my ribs with an intense, joyful anticipation I had never felt in my entire life.

Beside me stood Marco, holding two small gold velvet bands.

The soft violin music shifted into a beautiful, flowing melody.

The glass doors of the terrace swung open.

Naomi walked out onto the stone patio.

She wore a breathtaking, simple ivory lace gown that caught the moonlight like liquid silver. Her dark curls were styled with fresh jasmine flowers, and her hazel eyes shone with tears of pure, unadulterated joy.

Walking in front of her, wearing a small cream lace dress that matched her mother's, was five-year-old Lily—proudly carrying a velvet pillow holding our wedding bands.

When Naomi reached the arch, I stepped forward, taking both of her warm hands into mine, my broad palms wrapping around her fingers with absolute, eternal devotion.

Lily stood beside my leg, looking up at both of us with a bright, radiant smile that lit up the night sky.

"Who gives this woman to be married to this man?" the minister asked warmly.

Lily jumped up on her tiptoes, raising her small hand high in the air. "I do! I give Mommy to Daddy!"

The guests let out a warm, affectionate laugh that filled the quiet ocean air.

I looked down into Naomi's hazel eyes, my voice trembling slightly as I spoke my vows.

"Five years ago, Naomi," I said, my baritone thick with raw emotion, "I lost you in the dark. I spent five years believing my world was cold and empty. But the universe brought our daughter to seat 3B... and she brought me back to you. You gave me a family, Naomi. You gave me my life. I promise to love, protect, and honor you and Lily for all the days of my life."

I pulled a small, flawless seven-carat solitaire diamond ring from the pillow and slipped it onto her finger.

Naomi looked up into my eyes, her tears spilling softly over her lashes, resting her hand over my heart.

"I love you, Julian," she whispered softly. "And I promise to love you and Lily for all the days of my life."

"By the authority vested in me," the minister smiled, "I now pronounce you husband and wife."

I pulled Naomi into my arms, lifting her effortlessly off her feet, kissing her with a deep, sweet, consuming passion that sealed our lives together under the open sky, while Lily cheered, wrapping her small arms around both of our legs.

Outside the grand gates of the estate, the city of New York continued to spin, but standing on the sunlit terrace surrounded by my unbroken family, I knew that our home, our peace, and our lives were finally, beautifully, and forever our own.
