Chapter 3: The Dawn Raid and the Fall of the House of Vance

Across town, at the palatial Vance family estate in Westchester, the morning routine had been violently interrupted. Julian was sitting at the massive mahogany breakfast table sipping his espresso and gloating over the morning financial section with his father Arthur, while Sienna floated around the kitchen planning the grand celebration party for acquiring full custody of the twins. Suddenly, the towering wrought-iron security gates of the estate were rammed down by an armored tactical vehicle. Dozens of federal agents and state police officers swarmed the manicured lawns, surrounding the mansion with military precision. Before Arthur could stand up to protest, federal agents breached the front doors, shouting commands and pinning astonished security guards to the marble floor. Julian’s phone began vibrating frantically on the breakfast table—first from his panicked chief financial officer, then from frozen corporate bank accounts, and finally from the federal marshals executing search warrants across every corporate office the Vance family owned.

When Julian was slapped in cuffs in his own dining room, his face drained of every drop of color. He shrieked in absolute disbelief, "There's been a mistake! My wife signed away all claims! We have a signed agreement!" The lead federal agent slammed a copy of the emergency injunction and the forensic audit report onto the breakfast table right beside his half-eaten croissant. "Mr. Vance, your wife didn't just walk away; she handed us the master key to your entire criminal enterprise," the agent replied coldly. Within hours, news crews flooded the streets outside the Vance corporate headquarters as federal agents carried out boxes of financial records, hard drives, and ledgers. Sienna, who had rushed down to the estate to escape the chaos, found herself locked out of the mansion by the police and surrounded by reporters shoving microphones in her face, demanding to know her involvement in the multi-million-dollar fraud. The untouchable Vance dynasty hadn't just stumbled; it had been completely vaporized before noon.
