Chapter 6 - The Fall of Mario ValentiBy 10:00 AM the following morning, the corporate and underground sectors of Toledo were thrown into an unprecedented crisis.

Mario Valenti—the ruthless Don of the Valenti syndicate—realized his riverfront smuggling operations had been exposed by the Moretti audit.
Desperate to regain leverage, Valenti brought thirty armed mercenaries to Pier 19 at 2:00 PM, attempting to seize control of the primary container terminals by force.
At 2:15 PM, six midnight-black armored Maybachs glided onto the wet asphalt of Pier 19.
When the heavy doors opened, Lorenzo Moretti stepped out wearing an immaculate black suit, his posture tall, broad, and unyielding, flanked by forty armed Moretti operators.
And stepping out from the central vehicle, wearing a tailored navy wool coat provided by Lorenzo’s stylist, standing beside Silvio, her hazel eyes holding zero fear, was Kira.
She had refused to stay behind at the estate. She wanted to stand beside the man who had protected her brother's future.
Mario Valenti stood near the shipping containers, holding a cigar, his jaw dropping in total, speech-bound shock as he saw Lorenzo walking toward him completely calm, accompanied by the girl from 4th Street.
"Moretti!" Valenti yelled, backing against a steel container. "You think you can take my docks because of some antique shop girl?!"
Lorenzo didn't draw a weapon. He set an encrypted tablet flat onto a wooden shipping crate, projecting a massive banking ledger onto the dock monitor behind Valenti.
The red numbers illuminated the rain:
TERMINATED LEASE CONTRACTS: PIERS 1-12 — Executed by Moretti Logistics at 9:00 AM today.
SEIZED ILLEGAL CARGO: $40 MILLION — Handed directly to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
IMMEDIATE ARREST WARRANTS — Issued by the United States Attorney’s Office for Mario Valenti and his lieutenants.
Four uniformed Federal Marshals stepped out from the secondary trucks, slapping heavy steel handcuffs around Mario Valenti’s wrists with an iron snap.

"You're finished on the riverfront, Mario," Lorenzo announced deadpan, looking down at the groveling crime boss with a look of chilling, absolute disdain. "Your empire belongs to the Moretti Foundation."
