Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomeAt 8:30 PM, as the spring sun dipped below the Long Island horizon, painting the sky in sweeping tapestries of indigo and gold, the private terrace was illuminated by dozens of soft, twinkling fairy lights.

Marco raised his champagne glass toward our table, his deep baritone carrying cleanly across the quiet grounds.

"To Don Adrian, Donna Hannah, and Prince Lucas!" Marco toasted with deep, genuine pride. "The sovereign family who rebuilt an empire with unbroken strength, truth, and eternal love!"

"To the Vale family!" the entire terrace echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, dozens of crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.

Adrian raised his glass, taking a slow sip of fine wine, holding me tight against his beating heart under the vast, open sky.

The acoustic band began playing a slow, romantic melody that drifted through the quiet evening air, mixing with the gentle sound of the ocean waves crashing against the stone pier below.

Adrian took my hand, guiding me out onto the center of the stone terrace under the twinkling fairy lights, sweeping my body into a smooth, effortless turn beneath the stars while holding seven-month-old Lucas securely in his broad arm.

Across the dark, sparkling blue waters of Long Island Sound, brilliant bursts of gold, sapphire, and silver fireworks exploded into the night sky, illuminating the smiling faces of our guests gathered on the lawn below.

There were no corrupt relatives poisoning feeding bottles in dark kitchens. There were no grieving mothers weeping over lost premature babies. There were no debts threatening our peace.

The bitter, grieving Don was dead forever. The sovereign father had claimed his throne.

And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, wrapped in the arms of the man who loved every inch of my body and soul, holding our son safe in our hands, I knew that my life, my heart, and my family were finally, beautifully, and forever home.
