Chapter 6 - The Fall of the MillersSix months after the bail hearing, the final criminal trial concluded inside the County Superior Court.

The evidence compiled by Sergeant Thomas Miller and my forensic team left zero room for appeal or doubt.

DANIEL MILLER: Convicted of Felony Kidnapping, Attempted First-Degree Murder, and Aggravated Extortion. Sentenced to thirty-two years in a state maximum-security facility without the possibility of early parole.

PATRICIA MILLER: Convicted of Accessory to Felony Kidnapping, Evidence Tampering, and Financial Fraud. Sentenced to eighteen years in a state women's correctional facility.

Simultaneously, the civil court executed a master bankruptcy judgment against the Miller Construction firm.

Every commercial vehicle, piece of heavy equipment, secondary property, and bank account registered under the Miller name was seized, liquidated, and transferred into an irrevocable trust registered under Emily's name: The Emily Vance Protection Trust.

The four-million-dollar Oregon timberland estate was fully restored to Emily's sole control, while the Elmcrest Lane house was sold at public auction, its proceeds donated entirely to the County Domestic Violence Crisis Center.

Daniel and Patricia were dragged away in chains to spend the next three decades in dark, cold silence, their names permanently, historically erased from our lives.
