Chapter 6 - The Sanctuary in Lake ForestSix months later, the golden spring sun broke warmly over the manicured green lawns of our permanent estate in Lake Forest.

The five-acre stone property—surrounded by blooming white hydrangeas, ancient oak trees, and high stone security walls—sat bathed in golden light.
On the wide stone terrace, a small, elegant gathering of close friends, federal team members, and Julian sat around candlelit tables set up along the garden paths, enjoying fine food and warm music.
Sitting in a soft luxury playpen near the terrace floor was seven-month-old Sophie—healthy, happy, chubby, wearing a small white lace dress, giggling brightly as she played with soft wooden toys under the warm sun.
I stood near the marble balustrade wearing a breathtaking, floor-length emerald silk dress that caught the afternoon light like liquid gold. My dark hair fell in soft, glossy waves over my shoulders, my skin radiant, my posture holding the absolute, unshakeable sovereignty of a queen who had conquered the dark.
Julian Vance walked out onto the terrace carrying two glasses of fresh lemonade, handing one to me with a proud, warm smile.
"The final probate transfer of the Moretti liquid trust was completed this morning, Aaron," Julian reported softly, clinking his glass against mine. "The Sophie Vance Foundation for Maternal Protection is fully operational."
I took a slow sip of the crisp lemonade, looking out over the rolling green lawns, feeling a deep, weightless peace settle into every corner of my soul.
"Thank you, Julian," I smiled warmly, looking down at my daughter playing near the hydrangeas.

"How does it feel, Aaron?" Julian asked gently. "To have your life completely back?"
"It feels like I finally woke up under a clear, bright sky, Julian," I answered cleanly. "For three years, I thought love meant enduring silence and accepting second place. Today... I know that a mother's strength can build a kingdom out of light."
