Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever SovereignAt 8:30 PM, as the autumn sun dipped below the Baltimore horizon, painting the sky over Chesapeake Bay in brilliant shades of rose, gold, and deep sapphire, the private terrace was illuminated by dozens of soft, twinkling fairy lights.

The shipyard directors laughed near the stone hearth, their voices echoing happily across the quiet grounds.
I stood at the edge of the stone balustrade with Tobias, holding a warm cup of tea, feeling a deep, weightless peace settle into every corner of my soul.
Tobias reached out, wrapping his broad, warm arm around my waist, pulling me close to his side as we looked out over the vast, sparkling blue waters where our family's ships sailed under the open sky.
"Look at the water, Rosalind," Tobias whispered softly into the quiet evening air. "It's calm."
I reached down, covering his broad, warm hand with mine, holding him tight against my body.
"It’s calm because we’re free, Tobias," I murmured, leaning my head comfortably against his shoulder.
There were no toxic husbands adding poison to warm milk. There were no fake sisters scheming in dark rooms. There were no wheelchairs keeping my brother in the shadows.

The naive, poisoned wife was dead forever. The sovereign matriarch had claimed her throne.
And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, holding my brother's hand, listening to the quiet ocean breeze, I knew that my life, my heart, and my future were finally, beautifully, and forever home.
